Screen copyrighted movies at any public event requires a public performance license. Obtaining a public performance license is a fairly simple process. Although KOE cannot purchase the license for you, we can direct you to the proper licensing entities. The licensing fees range from $250 to $500 depending on many different factors that are always changing. If you are hosting your own family outdoor movie night on your property, you won’t need a public viewing license.
